BRAINERD ELKS FLAG DAY CEREMONY
In 1949, President Harry Truman signed legislation designating June 14th of each year as national Flag Day. Though Flag Day is not a federal holiday, the U.S. Government encourages its citzens to display old glory outside of their homes and businesses. Join your Brainerd Elks Lodge #615 for the traditional Flag Day Ceremony at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, June 14th on the east lawn of the Historic Crow Wing County Court House.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and witness the history of the flag of the United States, through the presentation of the colors by a military color guard and an explanation of the significance and tradition of our flags through the years. The ceremony begins at 4pm and there will be refreshments after, at the Brainerd Elks Lodge at 215 South 9th Street, Brainerd.
