It’s time, once again, for the annual Coats for Kids Drive in the Brainerd Lakes Area.

Kinship Partners, Crystal Cleaners, the Westgate Mall and Hubbard Radio Brainerd (WJJY) are asking lakes area residents to donate new or gently used coats to the 2021 Coats for Kids Drive.  We are asking that you drop off your donations at Crystal Cleaners in Brainerd so the fine folks there can get them cleaned and ready for distribution in mid-October.  Please, if your items are used, make sure the items are not ripped/torn, the zippers are working and the pockets are clean and not torn. They are also looking for other winterwear items :

• Hats
• Mittens
• Snow Pants
• Scarves
• Any winter wear – and ANY SIZE…even adult sizes (coats, too!)

In addition to Crystal Cleaners, other area groups and businesses are collecting coats for this drive.  You can also drop your Coats for Kids donations off at:

• • Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter
  • Exit Lakes Realty in Baxter
  • American Family Insurance (Trevor Tobin Agency) in Baxter
  • First Lutheran Church in Brainerd
  • Brainerd Family YMCA
  • Crosslake Drug
  • Mount Ski Gull in Nisswa
  • Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union in Pequot Lakes
  • Cascade Methodist Church in Deerwood (Drop off on Wed. or Fri. between 9 am – 3 pm and Sundays). 

If you have not had a chance to make you donations, please do by  Thursday, Oct. 7th so Crystal Cleaners has time to get them ready for distribution.

The distribution date will be Saturday, October 16th from 9:30 to 3:00 at the Westgate Mall in the old Hallmark Card Store location.  One coat per child.  Please bring the child needing the coat with you so they can try it on and have fun shopping!
